Fuglesang up in space again
The Swedish astronaut Christer Fuglesang is getting ready for his second spaceflight. Fuglesang will join the 11-day STS-128 mission to the International Space Station (ISS) as a Mission Specialist. STS-128 is currently scheduled for launch with Space Shuttle Discovery on 7 August 2009. At the time of Fuglesang's arrival, the Space Station will be occupied by a crew of six astronauts from four different space agencies: ESA (Frank De Winne), NASA, Roscosmos and the Canadian Space Agency. During his flight Fuglesang will be conducting scientific experiments and carrying out two of the three scheduled spacewalks. He will also be responsible for the Multi-Purpose Logistics Module, a cargo module that is used to carry cargo, such as science and storage racks, food, clothes and water, to the Station.
Christer Fuglesang did his first spaceflight with the 13-day Celsius mission to the ISS with STS-116 in December 2006.
